The fifteenth day of the first month is a traditional festival of our

Chinese nation. At this moment, my heart has been hooked by the rich dinner. Who

makes today the Lantern Festival on the fifteenth day of the first month!

"The moon is round and round on the 15th day..." this classic song is

around my ears again. Listen... At this time, I have come to my grandparents

house: "Grandpa, grandma, happy Lantern Festival!"

"Wow" my eyes fly away with the fragrance and catch a large piece of meat

again, hee hee!

After dinner, dusk shrouded everything around us, so we decided to go to

Swan square to enjoy the moon.

As I walk, the moon also walks. If I walk fast, it also walks fast; I walk

slowly, so does it. As soon as I looked up, a round, large and high disc hung in

the air, as if it were the most dazzling star in the sky. The surrounding stars

were not shy and comparable with the moon. It seemed to say, "you see, you have

dominated all the glory of the 15th, how can you let me shine!"

Suddenly, my eyes were fascinated by the fascinating riddle guessing. I

quickly took my family to join the fun.

"There is a prize if you guess right, there is a prize if you guess right!"

At this time, my uncle opened his voice and attracted people heartily. Before

waiting for my uncle to finish, the visitors had already begun to grab

mysteries. Some secretly turned over reference books, others discussed with each

other, or enlightened, and happily competed for prizes. It was so lively!

As the night gets deeper and deeper, there are more and more people playing

in the square. Adults and children gather together, like the vivid pictures of

the master and the hot partners, spreading their troubles and playing

"Crazy".

Suddenly, I dont know where there is a strong smell of sleeves. Oh, my

mother peeled off this sweet and delicious thing, and the juice penetrated from

it. Wow, its so fragrant! I quickly took a bite, um, a word: "incense"! Its

still slowly aftertaste after eating!

It was getting late. I looked at the people who were playing hide and seek,

playing balloons, guessing lantern riddles and setting off fireworks

There are many different beliefs about the origin of the Lantern Festival.

But one thing for sure is that it had something to do with celebrating and

cultivating positive relationship between people, families, nature and the

higher beings they believed were responsible for bringing/returning the light

each year.

One legend tells us that it was a time to worship Taiyi, the God of Heaven

in ancient times. The belief was that the God of Heaven controlled the destiny

of the human world. He had sixteen dragons at his beck and call and he decided

when to inflict drought, storms, famine or pestilence upon human beings.

Beginning with Qinshihuang, the first emperor to unite the country, all the

emperors ordered splendid ceremonies each year. The emperor would ask Taiyi to

bring favorable weather and good health to him and his people. Emperor Wudi of

the Han Dynasty directed special attention to this event. In 104 BC, he

proclaimed it as one of the most important celebrations and the ceremony would

last throughout the night. They clean it all up in the morning.

Another legend associates the Lantern Festival with Taoism. Tianguan is the

Taoist god responsible for good fortune. His birthday falls on the 15th day of

the first lunar month. It is said that Tianguan likes all types of

entertainment, so followers prepare various kinds of activities during which

they pray for good fortune.

Yet another common legend dealing with the origins of the Lantern Festival

speaks of a beautiful bird that flew down to earth from heaven, which was hunted

and killed by some villagers. This angered the Jade Emperor in Heaven because

the bird was his favorite one. Therefore, he planned a storm of fire to destroy

the village on the 15th lunar day. The Jade Emperors daughter heard of this

plan, and warned the villagers of her father’s plan to destroy their village.

The village was in turmoil because nobody knew how should they escape their

imminent destruction.

However, a wise man from another village suggested that every family should

hang red lanterns around their houses, set up bonfires on the streets, and

explode firecrackers on the 14th, 15th, and 16th lunar days. This would give the

village the appearance of being on fire to the Jade Emperor. On the 15th lunar

day, troops sent down from heaven whose mission was to destroy the village saw

that the village was already ablaze, and returned to heaven to report to the

Jade Emperor. Satisfied, the Jade Emperor decided not to burn down the village.

From that day on, people celebrate the anniversary on the 15th lunar day every

year by carrying red lanterns on the streets and exploding firecrackers and

fireworks.

There are many stories on how this festival was created. One other story is

about a maid. In the Han Dynasty, Mr. Eastern was a favorite advisor of the

emperor. One winter day, he went to the garden and heard a little girl crying

and getting ready to jump into a well to commit suicide. Mr. Eastern stopped her

and asked why. She said she was a maid in the emperors palace and her name was

Yuan-Xiao.

She never had the chance to meet her family after she started worked at the

palace. She missed them so much every 12th lunar month. If she couldnt have the

chance to show her filial piety in this life, she would rather die. Mr. Eastern

promised her to find a way so she could reunion with her family. Mr. Eastern

left the palace and set up a fortune-telling stall on the street and disguised

himself as a fortuneteller. Because of his reputation, many people asked for

their fortunes.

But every one got the same prediction - a severe fire accident on the 15th

lunar day. The rumor spread quickly. Everyone was worried about the future and

asked Mr. Eastern for help. Mr. Eastern said, "On the 13th lunar day, the God of

Fire will send a fairy lady in red to burn down the city. If you see a lady in

red wearing green pants riding a black horse on that day, you should ask for her

mercy." On that day, Yuan-Xiao pretended to be the red fairy lady. When people

asked for her help, she said, "Im the messenger of the God of Fire and came to

check on the city and Im going to set up fire on 15th. This is an order from

Jade Emperor. He will watch from the heavens.

I will give you a copy of the imperial decree from the God of Fire. You

should go to ask your emperor to find a way out." After she left, people went to

the palace to show the emperor the decree which reads "The capital city is in

trouble. Fire burns on the palace, and fire from Heaven burns all night long on

the 15th." The emperor of Han Dynasty was very shocked. He called and asked Mr.

Eastern for advice. After pondering for a while, Mr. Eastern said, "I heard that

the God of Fire likes to eat Tang-Yuan (Sweet dumpling). Does Yuan-Xiao often

cook Tang-Yuan for you? On the 15th lunar day, let Yuan-Xiao make Tang-Yuan.

Your Majesty will take charge of the worshipping ceremony and you will give

an order to every house to prepare Tang-Yuan to worship the God of Fire at the

same time. Also, deliver another order to ask every house in the city to hang

red lantern and explode fire crackers. Lastly, everyone in the palace and people

outside the city should carry their lanterns on the street to watch the lantern

decoration and fireworks. If everything goes this way, the Jade Emperor would be

deceived.

Then everyone can avoid the fire accident." The emperor happily followed

the plan. Lanterns were everywhere in the capital city on the night of the 15th

lunar day. People were walking on the street. Fire crackers kept making lots of

noise. It looked like the entire city was on fire. Yuan-Xiaos parents went into

the palace to watch the lantern decorations, and Yuan-Xiao made a big lantern

and wrote her name on the lantern. They happily reunited together after her

parents called her name. Everybody was safe during the night. The emperor of Han

Dynasty had a new order that people should do the same thing every year. Since

Yuan-Xiao cooked the best Tan-Yuan, people called the day Yuan-Xiao

Festival.

Young people were chaperoned in the streets in hopes of finding love.

Matchmakers acted busily in hopes of pairing couples. The brightest lanterns

were symbolic of good luck and hope. As time has passed, the festival no longer

has such implications.

Those who do not carry lanterns often enjoy watching informal lantern

parades. In addition to eating tangyuan (simplified Chinese: 汤圆; traditional

Chinese: 湯圓; pinyin: tāngyuán), another popular activity at this festival is

guessing lantern riddles (which became part of the festival during the Tang

Dynasty), which often contain messages of good fortune, family reunion, abundant

harvest, prosperity and love.

Watching lanterns on the Lantern Festival is a traditional Chinese custom.

No, I went to see it last night. Our family has a rule: go to grandmas house on

New Years Eve, go to grandmas house on the 15th of the first month, go to

grandmas house on the first day of the new year, and go to grandmas house on

the fifth day of the new year. Therefore, it is certain to come today.

The fireworks show at Grandmas house was beautiful, with smiling faces and

circles. We had dinner there, watched a fireworks show and talked about family

affairs, so we left. When I came, I brought a box of fireworks. When we left, we

went down and put some white ones. Send my sister and them home, and well go to

the ceramic technology city to see the lanterns. The lanterns there are so

beautiful.

When I went there, what impressed me most was that I split the mountain to

save my mother. It was very vivid. Unfortunately, I didnt move. If I moved, it

would be good. Itll be more realistic. Theres another one called ghost. I

forgot, but its also very good. And the story of Cowherd and weaver girl. While

walking, I listened to my mother explain what happened to Cowherd and weaver

girl.

Gradually, I was thirsty. My mother said, "do you want pear soup?" "Yes!"

We bought two drinks, 10 yuan. Thats enough. What annoys me most is that it

tastes the same as mineral water. No, no, no, no, its harder to drink than

mineral water. I guess mineral water, edible pigment and pear slices are really

hard to drink. Walking, I saw the peacock open the screen. Its really big and

very beautiful. There are many light bulbs on a feather, led. Its time for us

to go back. Its beautiful. Its beautiful. I was dazzled.

Mother said, "always buy a souvenir home." Im so happy.

I came to several stalls. There were many kinds. I didnt know what to

choose. I finally decided to choose a mace. Because this is very attractive, I

think many people buy it. So I also bought it. After we made a price for some

time, we decided to sell it for 8 yuan. I agree very much.

When I walked quickly, I saw what I wanted to see most and liked most,

pleasant goat and grey wolf, as well as Chinas aerospace industry. I like both

of them very much. There are Tiangong 1 and Shenzhou 8. There are many kinds. I

also like them very much. The pleasant goat and grey wolf are a little too fake,

but they are also very good. There was a dragon when I went out.

It was great to see the lanterns this time. The only fly in the ointment

was the pear soup. We dont want it until weve finished drinking. I feel that

ten yuan is really wasted money. I cant buy it again next time I come. Is it

really cheating customers. I feel very, very sick. Overall, the lantern is

good.

Lets go to his house sometime.

On the 15th day of the first month of the lunar calendar, just after the

Spring Festival, the Lantern Festival, a traditional Chinese festival, is

ushered in. The Lantern Festival is also called "little first month", "Lantern

Festival" and so on.

The first month is the first month of the lunar calendar. The ancients

called night "Xiao", so they called the fifteenth day of the first month the

Lantern Festival. The 15th of the first month is the night of the first full

moon of the year. It is also the night of the beginning of the year and the

return of spring. People celebrate it and celebrate the continuation of the new

year. Therefore, the Lantern Festival is also called "Shangyuan Festival".

According to Chinese folk tradition, in this bright moon hanging night,

people point out thousands of colored lights to celebrate. Go out to enjoy the

beautiful colored lights and colorful fireworks, but also saw dozens of colorful

floats and floats.

The crowd poured in, and my parents and I crowded past and saw floats

"passing" by me. All kinds of decorations make the car look like beautiful

girls.

Just then, there was a deafening sound in the sky. The crowd looked up at

the sky and saw fireworks "bloom" on our heads. I said to my mother, "Mom, look

how beautiful they laugh!" Mom looked at me and smiled.

"Its Lantern Festival!" Every tree put on new clothes. Whenever people

walk by the tree, the colored lights on the tree are like eyes staring at you.

Among the big trees, red lines were "led". On the red line, small lanterns hung

one by one. The small lanterns looked at the people and smiled red.

Then we went to the lantern riddle exhibition. A corridor was covered with

riddles. Everyone guessed. Im not idle either. I look around. "Oh, its so

difficult to guess! Oh, its also very difficult!" Its really a little hate

when books are used! I secretly complained about myself.

Back home, grandpa has cooked my favorite dumpling. "Grandpa, why do you

want to eat dumplings? Cant you eat dumplings?" Grandpa smiled and said to me,

"of course you cant eat dumplings. The custom of our Southerners is to eat

dumplings, which symbolizes reunion!" At this time, everyone gathered around,

you and me, laughing and enjoying the delicious dumplings. The room was full of

laughter.

This lantern festival also makes me understand that as long as the family

gets together, it is the happiest and happiest thing in my life!

Happy New Year arent in the past, the Lantern Festival. I am excited and

looking forward to its getting dark. In the evening, early supper, my father to

accompany me to go to the lantern.

Enter a gate, I was impressed by a red lanterns. Lanterns are the four most

beautiful women in ancient: Yang, wang zhaojun, sable chan and xi shi, the

moving posture they make every person who watch the tut praise good. Move on,

and I will think of a childrens song: "one boy is a boy, two boys half a boy,

three boys no water to drink." See the three boys cry sigh, I couldnt help

laughing. This story also tells us a truth, do look beyond their own private

interests, pushed around the result is nothing. So, whatever we do, we are of

others, to put a little generous.

Across the small stone bridge, I see a beautiful peacock in corner, saw it

slowly unfold its beautiful feathers, a lot of tourists can not help a deep sigh

of "wow" and "wow". To the other side of the river is two dragon boat, with a

"leap" in the middle, two fish kept jumping before, and if really jumps the

gantry. Go forward again, the scene is spectacular. Only nine shape with

different color dragon churning the fly to the sky, a sign of the explosion of

China. Our country will be prosperous day after day!

Have seen lanterns, we went home. Walk the road, I think: next years

lantern certainly is better than this year!

The Lantern Festival is held on the 15th day of the first month. On the

Lantern Festival, the Spring Festival is really over. On this day, people watch

lanterns, set off fireworks and eat yuanxiao or tangyuan. I like watching

lanterns and appreciating lanterns best on the Lantern Festival.

When I came to the street, I saw that the street lamps were full of

lanterns, 16 street lamps in a group, 8 on one side. We walked to the bridge,

and the lantern "door" was also set up on the bridge. There are four big

lanterns in the first row of the "door", which say "congratulations on the new

year"; 10 lanterns in Row 2; There are 16 in a row below; Until the penultimate

row, there are 10 more; There are also four in the last row, with four big

characters on it, which are "Happy New Year".

Look at the rest corridor of the small square in the center of the bridge.

There are 10 marble seats. There are 4 large lanterns above the marble seats,

and there are also 10 groups of large lanterns. On average, there are four large

lanterns on each small lattice and each marble seat, which are arc-shaped, and a

large lantern is hung on the side.

Well, lets go somewhere else!

Lantern Festival - on the Lantern

In the middle of the big square, I saw a big lantern, about 10 times that

of me. Nine small lanterns were hung on the big lantern. There is a unicorn in

the middle of the big lantern. The unicorn represents auspiciousness, and a

crane on both sides of the unicorn just guarded it. Next to the crane is a pair

of rabbits. The rabbit holds a gold ingot in his hand. On the side of the rabbit

is a pair of cranes. Behind the main body are some gifts, firecrackers,

couplets, Fu characters and so on. Actually, this is a float! Its theme is

"blessing from the jade rabbit".

Lantern Festival - under the Lantern

Dont just look at the center, we still have some rabbits playing happily

on the lawn!

There are a pair of rabbits in the center of the lawn. Grandpa rabbit is

wearing a pair of small glasses to "congratulate you", while grandma rabbit is

carrying a fruit basket, which may be giving it to the rabbits! Look! There are

two little rabbits next to grandma rabbit, a little male rabbit and a little

female rabbit. The little female rabbit holds an apple in her hand. Oh, this is

what grandma rabbit gave her! The little male rabbit was laughing and holding a

lantern to see how lively the Lantern Festival was! There are three little

rabbits beside grandpa rabbit, two little female rabbits and a little male

rabbit. Look! Grandma rabbit also gave the little girl rabbit an apple. She is

laughing happily! Another little female rabbit sat on her favorite big mushroom,

wearing a big red bow, smiling and trying to say something. The naughty little

rabbit is not afraid to blow himself up with a string of firecrackers in his

hand! How brave!

There are some little rabbits next to me. I wont introduce them one by

one. There are many lanterns. Ill take you to see them with my own eyes next

time Im free!

Lantern Festival is a traditional festival in China. This years Lantern

Festival, our school organized a unique "Happy Lantern Festival" activity!

Before the activity started, I came to the activity site of writing

couplets and waited. Look! The contestants smiled one by one. They all looked

confident. You and I exchanged the written content one by one. I calmly came to

the writing desk, took out the carefully prepared brush, drove light and

familiar to write seriously, and soon a few big words came out.

Then, I quickly joined the lively activity of wrapping dumplings. Kneading

noodles is the first and crucial step in making dumplings. Our group poured the

prepared flour into the basin, poured some water, kneaded a large dough with the

help of the students parents, and then distributed it equally to each member.

Everyone thought and thought. They added all kinds of juice to the dough. After

kneading, it became colorful and very beautiful. Just listen to "the dumpling

filling is coming..." everyone, you argue with me and start wrapping dumplings.

I first squeezed the dough in the palm of my hand and patted it into a cake

shape, then closed my palm slightly and added stuffing to it. At this time, I

accidentally threw sesame sugar all over the floor in a hurry. I regret it! It

took a lot of effort to make several dumplings. The students next to them are

not like this. They pinch the dough of appropriate size, gently flatten it and

add stuffing, then put their hands up, rub it, and gently knead it into small

and exquisite dumplings. It is a sharp contrast with my dumplings, which is

enviable.

When the glutinous rice balls are put into the pot, we wait nearby. Its

called a hurry. We cant wait to eat them directly from the pot! After a long

waiting period, the glutinous rice balls finally came out of the pot. With a

gentle bite, the soft skin immediately melted away in my mouth. The smell of

fruit juice and sesame came to my nostrils and turned into a wonderful force.

Once and again, it made me particularly satisfied and gave me endless

aftertaste.

At the end of the activity, the students gathered to take a group photo of

the class. Although I stood at the edge, I smiled brightly because I was

particularly happy today. This is this years Lantern Festival - a lively

Festival!

The Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first month is a traditional festival in China. This year I had a special and lively night without curfew.

Special, because this is the first time Im not at home for the festival. In the past, on the 15th day of the first month of each year, our family was ready early to see the lanterns. Every year, I can enjoy the beautiful, novel and colorful lanterns, as well as the beautiful, charming and colorful fireworks. According to my mother, the lantern show in Zhangye is clearer than that in Linze. Therefore, with the consent of my parents, I went to my uncles house for the Lantern Festival.

My uncle cooked the dumplings early. They were round and sweet to the heart, but I only ate a few and pestered my uncle to take me to watch the lights.

When we got to the square, ah, it was a sea of people. Around it, there were lanterns of different sizes and shapes, which made people dizzy. There are red goldfish lanterns, Fuwa lanterns symbolizing the Olympic Games and peacock lanterns... This year is the year of the horse. Of course, the horse is the protagonist. There are horse spring lanterns, shepherd childrens horse lanterns, horse fighting lanterns and rows of shining lanterns. I wish people to take the lead in their body, career and life this year.

In the distance, the flashing lighthouse attracted me. It took us a lot of effort to squeeze into the front. The high lighthouse is inlaid with beautiful neon lights, red, blue, yellow, green and colorful. It stands in the middle of the square. It is very beautiful.

After a while, we came to the park again. There are many lights hanging here, especially those flashing in the willows. There are lovely doll lights, beautiful peacock lights and golden ingot lights, which are really unforgettable.

At this time, with the roaring sound, the sky of the square suddenly lit up. Oh, it turned out that fireworks began to set off. This is what I look forward to most. I saw fireworks bloom in the air like beautiful flowers, and then slowly disappear. Some crossed the sky like beautiful meteors, and some scattered flowers from the sky in the distance. It was very beautiful.

How lively Zhangye is on the fifteenth day of the first month and how charming the night scene of the Lantern Festival is!

On the occasion of the Lantern Festival, there is a festive atmosphere

everywhere. You see, guessing lantern riddles and setting off fireworks... There

are all kinds of strange activities, ranging from astronomy to geography. Now

Ill take you to see the fireworks party!

Through the bustling trail, we came to the sparkling lake. We waited

anxiously and patiently. As time passed, more and more people were crowded. The

crowd could not see the head from the West and the tail from the north. There

were a sea of people. Some sat on stone chairs, some bent over, some leaned

forward and backward, and some stood on tiptoe. There are white haired

grandfathers, young people with clear eyebrows and embroidered eyes, and

children of four or five years old.

After a long time, just listen to the bang, strange flowers appear in the

sky, and the exciting fireworks party begins! People were suddenly silent. Then,

the sky appeared colorful, scrambling, from yellow to purple, from red to blue,

from blue to white, very beautiful! Colorful, large and small fireworks are

reflected on the sparkling lake, as if fish are also setting off fireworks in

their homes! Some of the wonderful flowers in the sky are green grass, some are

peach red and plum white. It is graceful and beautiful, as if it smells

fragrant.

"Boom", the air exploded one after another "Phalaenopsis", which was very

realistic. After a while, the orchids turned into red lanterns, slowly down and

straight into the water. White snakes soar into the sky, and the "s" walking

method is attractive. Small boats shot out of the lake and stood gracefully on

the lake, as if warships were coming to us, solemn and solemn. Suddenly, a

"meteor shower" appeared in the sky. The white "meteor shower" turned the night

into the day. The houses two kilometers away from me were obvious. It was as

dense as a cobweb, like the end of the world, and the stars crashed into the

earth. Then, colorful lines burst out on the ground and made a "crackling"

sound, like setting off firecrackers. Suddenly, the earth became a colorful

world.

Suddenly, a crystal clear waterfall appeared by the lake. The waterfall was

different. It was condensed by countless small white spots. It was very

lifelike. The waterfall rolled down and emitted wisps of clear smoke, like

Penglai Fairy Island floating on the sea.

Finally, flowers of various forms appeared in the sky, with a deafening and

soul stirring sound.

Todays party is over. The fireworks parties are more and more wonderful

again and again, which let me see the prosperity and development of science and

technology in the motherland.
